Corporations using green washing to justify unnecessary consumption are making light of the environmental consequences. The having your cake and eating it ideology pushed by the companies promoting a false narrative of inconsequential consumption.
We either have lower carbon emissions or overseas travel. There is no happy medium. Coffee shipped in from half a world away or biodiversity where the coffee turned the rainforest into mono-crops.
Out of sight out of mind. Just sweep it all under the rug and play let’s pretend everything is just fine. The world is burning and we are not learning. We can’t keep making excuses for our destructive behavior that will affect billions of earthlings in the future. If we just ignore it it will just go away…it won’t.
The companies just want money. They won’t hold themselves to account. These companies use spin and propaganda that would put Goebbles to shame.
Slavery is more prevalent than it ever was. It has been renamed into a modern comfortable word to make the companies and consumers feel less uneasy about the human abuse caused to create the wealth we see around us all.
